POSTPONED DUE TO COVID! Week-Long Plein-Air Workshop in Gatlinburg, TN June 20-27, 2021

I can’t wait to spend a week in Pittman Center, about 10 minutes outside of Gatlinburg, at some precious cabins by the water I’ve rented to teach some wonderful guests how to paint out-of-doors. This will be a wonderful week in and around nature with everything we could want to paint just outside our door. There is a beautiful covered bridge which reflects in the rushing creek beneath it. A barn with an antique truck is across from that. A field with beehives and a view of Mount Le Conte is just next to that. There is an ancient cemetery just down a gorgeous lane and a church. beyond that. I love this situation I’ve found to hold a workshop because painting Plein-air can be tiring–this gives my guests the opportunity to go take a rest if they need to. They are right next to their cabins. We will have the food catered by a fabulous company and will share meals outside by the roaring creek when the weather allows.  The week will begin with a welcoming cocktail party — setting the tone for not only a painting workshop, but an opportunity to commune with other artists, to learn from each other and become life-long friends. These connections mean a great deal to me and I love to surround myself with folks who feel the same way.

So, if you want to learn to paint Plein-air, make new friends, learn a great deal about art and spend time relaxing in nature, this might be the trip for you!  Contact me for more information and a schedule. I hope to see you in Gatlinburg!
