My Art Is In Museum Show

My painting “Contemplating the Day” will be displayed among 150+ pieces by female artists in an exhibit at Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN starting March 5th

This show is part of the American Women Artists Organization’s work to bring women artists to the attention of the art world and increase the number of professional opportunities for them. All of the artwork will be for sale, including mine! To get a peek at the artwork, go here.

Commissioned Painting Heading Out

I really enjoyed painting this piece for a lovely collector in Atlanta. I met her years ago when she purchased a painting I exhibited at a show at the Swan Coach House in Atlanta, Georgia. This piece was done particularly for a spot in her home and the imagery is something she wanted….to bring some beach energy and calmness to an area of her living room. I loved painting this as it brought me great joy to paint it. The water was challenging at times but I was happy how it turned out. My prayer is that she enjoys this art for years to come!

Thank you for joining me on my art path in 2022

I’m excited to announce that I have a new studio space that is large enough to give me the room to spread out and the freedom to make a big mess!

I’m working on several large public art commissions and I needed to be able to distance myself from these huge panels so that I can stand back and see what I’m doing. I am also able to work in “stations” that I’ve set up. They consist of different media such as acrylics, oil, cold wax and oil, alcohol inks etc… This is a time saver as I can leave projects out and not have to put materials away after I use them — a dream come true!

I will be having an open house and sale hopefully this summer at this new location….all pertinent information to be announced as soon as I know the dates.
