Painting Donated to the Harpeth Conservancy Fundraiser Event, Nashville

My painting, “Stargazers-Evening,” was donated to the Harpeth Conservancy’s annual fundraising event called “River Swing.” I was thrilled that a collector purchased my work for their home.

I love to paint small still lifes and want to do more of that in 2026. I normally paint fairly large landscapes from scenes of my travels. To sit down and create a piece that was small and intimate was very satisfying. I’ve also been painting more florals as I find that subject matter really interesting. In this piece, I was attracted mostly to the shapes: the lilies with their angular shapes, the round forms of the oranges, and the horizontal and vertical lines of the window and table.

The Harpeth Conservancy keeps our waterways clean in Tennessee, and anything I can do to support them makes me happy.
