April 15-20, 2024
For the second year in a row, I painted furiously for 5 days to get as much work done as possible so that I could show and hopefully sell my work to benefit the Knoxville Museum of Art.
It’s a wonderful program. Artists apply from all over the country and are juried in. The Artists Guild arranges places for the out-of-town artists to stay in sponsors’ homes and they treat us to a fabulous events during the week. We get to explore Knoxville and see parks and historic sites that we might not ever see. I love the whole process!
I want to share with you a few of the things I saw and painted. I painted 15 paintings in this time frame. There was one that I didn’t show and reworked it when I came back home. But other than that one, I framed them all, hung them and sold them to collectors of my work and new folks I’d never met.
Thank you Knoxville Museum of Art for having us there and to Leslie Parent for opening her doors to an amazing party for artists and sponsors. I appreciated all the folks who worked so hard to make this event happen. Thank you Artists Guild too! It was a perfect week! (Please double click on these images to enlarge and see better.)
