Online Studio Time with Rachael

Have you every needed some help and encouragement with your paintings?

Online Studio Time with Rachael and Friends

I’m now offering an 8-week online experience where I meet with you, in your studio, (virtually of course) and discuss what you are working on.

Sometimes artists run out of steam with their work and need some guidance, cheering on and accountability. I am here to help you to work through all of those things. Beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 9 – 11 am and 6:30-8:30 pm, I will offer this unique studio time with me. Please email me to tell me which time slot you’d like to sign up for. The cost is $225. CLICK HERE TO PAY OR SCAN CODE BELOW.

Process: You will have the opportunity to email me images of what you are working on along with any reference photos you might have and any questions about the piece you are working on. I will study your work and answer your questions online. During these 2-hour long Zoom sessions, you, and other like-minded artists, will share your work and I will give my feedback based on years of professional experience as both a working artist and an art instructor. We will also paint together as a group or if you’d rather just be a part of the conversation and take notes, you can do that too.

You will not only learn from my answers to the questions you ask me but from the other participants as well. I might share tips for example on altering your composition for a more successful design, color mixing, use of tools that might help you or suggest substrates that might give you better results on your next painting. You never know in these sessions what you will walk away from that will deepen your art practice.

Are you stuck? Let’s get unstuck together. Sometimes the act of simply sharing your frustrations with others can open blocked pathways and allow for new, exciting energy to enter your work. It’s hard when you only have yourself to observe your art. There might be an obvious fix but you are too close to see it. Let me help you get unstuck and find new pathways to find a successful resolution to  your painting.

Accountability: Being a part of an encouraging group is hugely helpful in creating and keeping momentum in your work and art practice. I cannot tell you how many artists start off with great intentions but quickly fizzle out because there’s no one there to say, “Hey, let’s see what you’ve painted this week.” That’s what this class will do for you.

Seeing works created by other artists often spurs you on to create more work in your studio–it simply gets your juices flowing and  helps to keep your art-making on the forefront of your mind. If you can’t get to a class, that’s okay. You will be missed but come back the next week and we will cover your work with great attention. (Note: There are no make-up sessions or personal consultations if you miss a class but I will record them for you to review at your leisure.)

There’s magic created when artists get together . Learning how other folks approach painting is eye-opening and developing an art community is such a powerful tool for your personal growth and happiness. There are actual studies out about how making art and having an art community adds years to your life. I highly recommend finding a group to connect with in this way, if it’s my group or someone else’s group, try it!

I hope you will join me and email me with any questions: [email protected]  SIGN UP AND PAY HERE CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED.
