DUE TO COVID-19 VIRUS, SADLY WE HAD TO CANCEL THIS WORKSHOP. WE HOPE TO MAKE IT UP SOON.

Spring is the perfect time to revisit and reignite the creative spirit that lives within us. Check-out from your daily life and check-in to a beautiful, nourishing environment designed to renew your mind, heart, body and soul. This will be a time to explore what inspires us, clarify our spiritual connections and delve into painting from a prayerful point of view. “Renew” is about examining what creativity means at this juncture of our lives. What does God say about creativity? Why are we given these gifts? What have other women taught us along the way? Where are we to go from here?

These are some of the questions we will explore with Reverend Betty L. Proctor and artist Rachael McCampbell for a spring retreat focused on exploring the mysteries and blessings of the creative gifts we possess. For 3 nights and 4 days, delve into your spirituality through the painting process, journaling, nature walks and intimate circles with other creative and curious women. Betty Proctor, an accomplished speaker and a gifted leader, is the pastor at Hillsboro United Methodist Church of Leiper’s Fork, TN. Rachael McCampbell brings 35 years of experience as a professional artist to this retreat along with years of teaching art, writing and leading groups on annual painting trips to Europe and headlining painting workshops in the US.

Beersheba Springs, TN is a gorgeous area on the Cumberland Plateau with distant views, waterfalls, beautiful hikes and cool fresh air that enlivens the soul. The historic and charming Beersheba Springs Assembly, built in 1854, is the centerpiece of this small community. Each guest will have their own private room and bath plus 10 full meals and snacks while on this retreat. The group will gather for vespers outside and/or in the chapel each morning, meet for circle gatherings for lessons, journaling and conversation, followed by painting, silent walks in nature, painting some more and finally joining around a campfire in the evening to recap each day. This will be a time of creative exploration, resting, learning, growing in your faith combined with lots of laughter as friendships will be made to last a lifetime.

Space is very limited, so if you are interested, contact Rachael soon. She is accepting $200 non-refundable deposits now to hold your place. To register and sign-up, contact Rachael McCampbell. Email: [email protected]
